Random Swag Patter Creation - The Elements

Selecting elements for a project is a matter of answering the questions that I think of during each project. Here are the elements that went into the random swag study.

I chose the three colors because they stand out against each other loudly. I was aware that not all of the color would show because of the crowding effect that I proposed. This allows only bits and pieces of color to show. The choice of color also allow me to show a design that is slanted toward one color or another. I can let the bamboo show, or the parchment, or the red.

I made the swags varying sizes. The red was shortest, bamboo longer-wider and parchment still longer-wider. This choice of proportions and the random pattern, allows the color to show regardless of where it is placed in the group.

Because the swags terminate at the back of the pole, I can use many of them without gaining so much bulk that I can not control the outcome. This is in difference to warping fabric around a pole.
