Random Swag Patter Creation - Learning From Observation

This is a study in random patterns. All of these designs have exactly the same swag elements. I have only altered the level of placement to get the variations.

This makes a strong statement for the necessity of making drawings. I look at the drawings for the purpose of exploring the possible varieties , and for unlocking the secret designs hidden inside the obvious design.

This also makes a strong statement for the inclusion of many elements in window treatment design work. The possibilities multiply themselves with every addition. when our thinking is open to the world of possibilities or designs begin to take on a life of their own. We are not just designing for necessity but for the art of it. Art speaks to the soul.
